Rampage skatepark N' Ireland: July 1st Mon '02
"Rampage has been forced to abandon work in Newtownards. There are a number of reasons for this course of action. The residents of Newtownards formed a petition against the opening of the park and a increase of violent break-ins jepordised our expensive ramps. All membership cheques that where sent to us have not been cashed and at your instructions by email can be destroyed or we can hold them for you until our move. Please be assured we will be moving all of our ramps (25000 sq feet of them) to a new and more suitable location in the coming weeks, for obvious reasons we cannot give you any more details. Please continue to visit this site for updates. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Linda Cleleand (Ards Council & Alliance party member) Who has provided us with her continual support, she visited our park during construction and has seen just how much work and how close we were to completion, she is continuing to help with our relocation plans."

"Waterford Concil - Rumour - New Skatepark !
1st June '01

Exactly that .... just a rumour, I don't have any info to confirm this but I'll keep my ears to the ground, I hear that if it is built .... it will be in the peoples park (about 1-2 miles out from the centre of the town to the south), but I also heard that it will be in an area of the regional sports ground (where Waterford United play, but in a different area, it is a fairly big place). It might be a local politian promising the sun moon and stars before the election, who knows."

Thanks to Mansfield again
